Hospital Physician Partners Announces New Emergency Medicine Division Leadership

Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, June 24, 2010 – In response to continued growth and national expansion, Hospital Physician Partners (HPP) announced this week the promotion of LaMon Norton, RN and Brian Johnson, CPNP, FNP to Emergency Department (ED) Division Presidents. Effective July 1, Ms. Norton will oversee the company’s Ft. Lauderdale division and Mr. Johnson will run the Durham operations.
Hospital Physician Partners CEO, Jeffrey Schillinger stated the move supports the company’s commitment to stay closer to their clients and physicians by having senior executives with authority and autonomy to quickly respond to client needs. “I am excited over the organizational change at HPP. Both LaMon and Brian have worked with us for many years and possess the professional skills and backgrounds to succeed,” said Schillinger. “Additionally, they are very knowledgeable of our clients and their needs and will provide them with greater access to the growing resources in the HPP family of companies.”
Mr. Johnson is a former hospital CEO who also was the Corporate Director of Emergency Medicine for IASIS Healthcare. Ms. Norton possesses more than 15 years experience in hospital management, 13 of which are in Emergency Medicine. Both are seasoned veterans administratively and clinically, who have been with HPP for over 20 years collectively.
Already in 2010, Hospital Physician Partners has added more than a dozen new ED and Hospitalist Medicine contracts following the trend in 2009 which saw the addition of 26 new contracts.
